Questions Regarding Our Games!

It is an immersive experience. Each player role-plays a character and participates in a story. Typically an “NPC” (non player character) is found dead as the story progresses, one of the players is the “murderer”. The goal is to find out who the “murderer” is. In some formats, players may be teamed up together to try to solve the mystery and identify the murderer, who may be an NPC. 

2. How Often Are New Games Released?

3. How Old Do You Have To Be To Play These Games At Zed9?

The recommended age to enjoy the experience with us is 16 and up. However, some games contain content with mild violence and would require a minimum age of 18.

4. Do I Need To Make A Reservation?

Yes, reservations are highly recommended in order to ensure that a room and a DM (Dungeon/Game Master) is booked for you. Although walk-ins are still accepted, it is not guaranteed. We would say a general rule of thumb is to book at least 48 hours in advance to ensure a booking slot, although it could get busier during the weekends.

5. When and how do I pay for my online order?

We process payments securely through PayPal and will only ask for payment once the order is ready for shipping and invoice has been issued to you via email. For orders within Canada, we also accept INTERAC e-Transfer. 

6. When does my order ship?

Currently all games are only available through pre-order, which usually takes about 1-2 months to ship. In the future, there will be options for regular orders, which will be fulfilled in about a week. 

7. How Do I Reserve?

8. What's Your Cancellation Policy?

While we do not require a deposit to book, our hosts/dms are dedicated to prepare for each game session. While we do understand there can be sudden change of plans or emergencies, we kindly ask you to notify us at least 24 hours to cancel or reschedule. 

9. How Long Does It Take To Play A Session?

Time length varies depending on the specific game you choose, The average time per session is 3.5 to 5 hours. We label the estimated duration on the "games" page.

10. What Forms Of Payment Do You Accept?

We accept Cash, Debit, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Wechat, and Alipay. 

11. What Is The Minimum And Maximum Player Limit?

Each game requires a certain number of players (usually ranging from 6-8), If a game requires 6 players the game has to be played with 6 players exactly. In cases where there are more than 6 players in your group 2 or more players can share the same character. If you do not have the required number of players, we can try our best to match you with another person/group. It is strongly recommended that groups play with the exact number of players as required by each games. 

12. Can We Bring Our Own Food And Drinks To The Facility?

Although alcohol is prohibited on our property, we welcome guests to bring some snacks and non-alcoholic beverages to enjoy during the game as long as guests keep our game rooms clean after usage. We also provide snacks and drinks for purchase at our facility.

13. Do I Need To Prepare Anything For The Game?

You don't have to worry about any of that! Our staff will prepare anything that is needed for each game. All you have to do is to arrive on time.

14. Do You Have Parking Spots Available?

Yes, we are a commercial jubensha/boardgame facility and we have free parking spots available right outside our facility.
